The Priority Outcomes are the four primary areas of HealthySteps’ impact that are shown to support the long-term health and well-being of babies and toddlers and help address inequities.
Well-Child Visit Adherence
Child Growth & Development
Maternal Depression
Early Relational Health
The HealthySteps Core Components—including universal screening, care coordination and systems navigation, and access to consults and interventions from an early childhood development and behavioral health prevention and promotion expert—help move the needle in the four Priority Outcome areas.
While the Priority Outcomes are not an exhaustive list of all outcomes HealthySteps helps drive for babies, toddlers, and their families, focusing on the Priority Outcomes help us better:
- assess and communicate about progress towards impact,
- facilitate high quality delivery of HealthySteps, and
- identify areas where the National Office can provide additional support to sites.
