HealthySteps is an evidence-based, team-based pediatric primary care model designed to support parents, improve the health and well-being of babies and toddlers, and promote school readiness. To realize the intended benefits of HealthySteps, practices must implement the model with fidelity. Fidelity is the degree to which the model is implemented with adherence to HealthySteps eight Core Components.
The HealthySteps National Office at ZERO TO THREE developed a Fidelity Self-Assessment based on implementation science to inform quality delivery of HealthySteps. The tool can help sites better understand how they are implementing HealthySteps in relation to the fidelity metrics, build upon their successes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
