Meet Our Family Advisors
HealthySteps Family Advisors provide important feedback on their experience to enhance our program for all families.
Victoria Brown
Hi, my name is Victoria Brown. I live in Brooklyn, NY, and we participate in the HealthySteps program at BFCC. We have been a part of HealthySteps for two years. The support, care, and resources we have received from HealthySteps staff have been instrumental in the development and success of our growing children. It’s an honor to be a part of the HealthySteps Family Advisory Group because I love this program and I believe in the mission. I am eager to be apart of the process to continue to move HealthySteps forward with my voice and passion.
Porshea Hood
My name is Porshea Hood, and I’m 23 years old. I have the privilege of working at Authoracare hospice, where I support individuals and families as they navigate the profound journey of grief. I live in Greensboro, NC. I am also blessed with a wonderful 6-month-old daughter named Ah’lani, who fills my days with warmth and joy. My aspiration to become an ICU nurse stems from a deep desire to help people during their most vulnerable moments and to offer comfort when it’s needed most.
Meagan Rosa
My name is Meagan Rosa. I live in Troy, New York, and my family participates in the HealthySteps program at Albany Medical Center Pediatric of Albany. We have been a HealthySteps family for almost a year. I have a 14-year-old son and a 7-month-old son who bring joy into my life. I like HealthySteps because I am able to open up and be honest about my family history and needs and receive the right support. I look forward to being a Family Advisory member to help others get the support they need.
LaTrici Wilcox
My name is LaTrici Wilcox. I live in Baltimore, Maryland, and my family participates in the HealthySteps program at the University of Maryland Family and Community Medicine location. We have been a HealthySteps family for two years. What I appreciate most about the HealthySteps program are the readily available resources that I wouldn’t have known how to access otherwise and the genuine connections you make with other supporters and families. I look forward to being a HealthySteps Family Advisory Group member to connect and establish a sense of community with different families who also share a similar interest in family advocacy. HealthySteps has become a part of My Village and I’m excited to take part in helping to build other villages.
Ashley Robinson
My name is Ashley Robinson. I live in Jamestown, North Carolina, and my family participates in the HealthySteps program at Atrium Health WFB Pediatrics of Greensboro. We have been a HealthySteps family for about a year. What I like most about the program is being open and honest about my family’s needs without judgment. The resources and support received have been invaluable to us.
I look forward to being a HealthySteps Family Advisory Group Member because I want to do anything I can to help this program grow. Every family should have access to this program.
